  Shri Krishna Jayanti celebrates the birthday of Lord Krishna.   The festival is also known as Gokulashtami and Krishnashtami.   I t is observed as Dahi Handi in  Maharashtra , the formation of the huge human pyramids to break the pot hung high up.   Shri Krishna is today one of the most widely revered and most popular of all Hindu Gods.   He is worshipped as the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu.  Krishna  is also worshipped as a supreme god  by numerous people around the world.   In North India, Shri Krishna Janmashtami is observed eight days after the full moon day in Hindi month Bhadrapada (August – September).                                                In  South India ,  it is observed on the eighth day after the full moon day in the month of Shravan (August– September)....

                      ஒரு காட்டில் நிறைய யானைகள் இருந்தன. அவை வயலில் மேயச் சென்றன.                     அங்கே மூன்று வயல்கள் இருந்தன. அவற்றில் இந்த யானைகள் சரிசமமாகப் பிரிந்து சென்று மேய்ந்து பசியாறின.                     மேய்ந்து முடித்து அந்த யானைகள் வெளியே வந்தவுடன் , அங்கே ஐந்து பாதைகள் இருந்தன. அவற்றில் இந்த யானைகள் சரிசமமாகப் பிரிந்து சென்றன.                     இந்த ஐந்து பாதைகளும் , ஏழு குளங்களைச் சென்றடைந்தன. அங்கேயும் இந்த யானைகள் சரிசமமாகப் பிரிந்து குளித்தன.                     அடுத்து , ஒன்பது சோலைகள் இருந்தன. அவற்றிடையேயும் இந்த யானைகள் சரிசமமாகப் பிரிந்து நடந்தன.                     நிறைவாக , அவை பல்லவர் ...

I was a bit nervous as I had to stay away from home for the first time. My father showed me the slides and see-saw in the playground to cheer me up. When I went in the class room, I met my classmate M.Karthika who is a kind person. She made me feel comfortable on the first day and that was my first session in the school.  They taught some nursery rhymes and also told us a few stories.
